The Cultural Advocacy Coalition Foundation (CACF) is an Oregon-registered 501(c)(3)* organization, eligible for tax-exempt contributions to advance public education and information around arts, culture, heritage, and the humanities. As a sister to the Cultural Advocacy Coalition of Oregon, CACF funds a thriving artistic culture across the state.
Don’t forget, you can double your impact with a matching gift and tax credit from the Oregon Cultural Trust! When you match your donation with a gift to the Oregon Cultural Trust, you direct a portion of your state taxes to fund more than 1,600 cultural organizations. And come tax time, you will receive up to a 100% refund in the form of a state tax credit. By using the Cultural Tax Credit, Oregonians and the Cultural Trust have awarded close to $40 million to the cultural nonprofits that define our quality of life.
In its first full year, CACF has been fundraising to increase public awareness of the needs of the arts and culture sector in Oregon. Our programming is beginning to take shape, with an emphasis on building unity in the sector, creating a collaborative advocacy agenda, and sharing information more broadly to the public and our members across the state. The CACF supports the Arts and Culture Caucus in the Oregon Legislature by connecting legislators with arts and culture events in their communities and keeping them informed about the sector’s needs.
CACF has received funding from the Oregon Cultural Trust, the James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation, Creative West (formerly WESTAF), the Robert W. Naito Foundation, and individual donors.
You can support a thriving arts and culture community across the state of Oregon by donating to CACF’s efforts.

*CACO was originally incorporated as a 501(c)(4) because its purpose was to advocate for creation of the Oregon Cultural Trust. CACO’s mission and programs have grown far beyond directly lobbying to include education, research, networking, communication, arts infrastructure, and policy development. All of these activities fall under the definitions of charitable and educational activities that fit within the definite of a 501(c)(3) and can be supported by a broader audience. Many similar state arts advocacy organizations have both a (c)3 and a (c)4 as supporting partners.
